Me sitting on the title screen for a few minutes without interacting produces a script error :(

Script 'Title Scene' line 82: Name Error occurred.

undefined local variable or method `update_title_load' for #<Schene_Title:0x11cf0158>

Minor: If you're funny and make your first save in a Record slot other than 1, the main menu won't have an available Load Game option until you do. (Your game still gets saved!)

I'm missing text for what I assume is a YES/NO prompt. I guessing there's another missing font for menus too?

The witch/sword conversation is gonna get really grating while troubleshooting

YES

YES

FINALLY

I LOVE YOU

Edit: Oh shit is buggy damn don't worry fam we'll get there I still love you and I am ready to pay for my non sins to get my sins or whatever esoteric crap you would want me to write in a way that looks cool

Edit2: I love myself a bugfest, you may tho need to change the itchio page to have that kind of community posts style, this would help by creating a specific post for bug reporting and unclogging what will be happening. I will love you regardless of your actions about this, I'm just thinking about your wellbeing and ease of mind, for we are not at all perfect coders, and that's okay.

Steam release?

The missing font is “px sans nouveaux”.

YO, By Jove, they've got it! Downloaded that font and did a quick test and I DO have opening text now!

Can confirm this works. Doesn't display the font on the title screen, but the dialog and such does have text. So there's one more font missing, I think.

This fixed the issue on my end. I can also second what XainZeroXIII mentioned. Seems like the title screen doesn't visually display any options unless you press C while it's loading.

This worked for me! I can understand the rabbit now!!

this was the font listed above: https://www.dafont.com/px-sans-nouveaux.font

Thank you for figuring this out. The behavior everyone was describing with the text boxes sounded like what happens when a font is missing but I was certain I included all the fonts, my brain has been fried this week. I will push an update later today with the font included and fixes to the title screen issues (the selections not showing upon wait & the parallax uncovering the logo splash screen).

Thank you for your hard work! Can't wait to play the game soon :)

No worries. Thanks for making this!

I'm suspending purchases until I can figure out whats going on with the fonts. Sorry.

So joining in quick as I was able to buy it, and getting the same issues on Win10. Had two out of three of the founts installed already, installed the third, empty text box. Went ahead and replaced the other two downloads I already had and that still didn't work. Followed up with restarting PC and no luck.

Should I redownlaod the game again?

I can't seem to figure out how to buy the game ^^' maybe i'm a fool

I'm guessing based on the comments it might have been pulled back down quick due to the font bug? I'll keep checking back. I'm super eager for it as well!

If text isnt apearing for you even with the fonts installed try disableing smooth mode. I did that and the text apeared

Never mind it was only the one time for the main menu. Its not working anymore again

I tried to send an email to the provided email address in the ReadMe (labyrinthcomittee@gmail.com) but it seems like the address is wrong?

Seems like textboxes are not displaying any text despite having installed both fonts provided (04B_20_.ttf and hello-world.ttf) and restarted my computer. Seems like the textboxes aren't displaying anything. The work of fiction message is visible. So are the New Game / Load Game / etc. in the title screen.

I'm running the game in Windows 11.

apologies, it should be labyrinthcommittee@gmail.com

send me an email there and we can try to troubleshoot. The title screen text + initial text in the intro are images, so they'll show up no matter what. Installing fonts works fine for me on Win10 so it could be a problem with Win11, though i've had people test on Win11 and the text should render okay... If anyone else has this problem/knows a solution feel free to share here.

I too am having this issue. Naybe its a layering bug? Is everything being layered over the text? I can hear the text be laid out but dont see anything. Im also on win11

Just sent an Email. Thanks!

Also having this issue; one font file, '._04B_30__.TFF.TTF' appears to not be working and only notes that it is 'not a valid font file' when trying to open it.
